How CEOs  Improve Core Business through Technology and Innovation

Running a business is more complex today than it’s ever been.  Issues like regulation, the rapid development of technology, market disruptions, and finding the right talent at the right time have been concerns for some time.

Add to that economic concerns, regional and national differences, and the changes that the Internet continues to bring to the way business is conducted, and CEOs have their hands full.  If businesses are to succeed, CEOs need to make use of the enormous amounts of data that are available, while at the same time securing their business data and other assets.

Why Today’s Businesses Need Workflow Automation

Workflow automation is arguably one of the most important steps nearly any business organization can take in order to stay relevant in a competitive market.  The benefits of automated workflows include:

5-Day Plan for Office Organization

Summer’s days are waning and fall is just around the corner.  I don’t know about you, but there’s something about autumn that makes me want to get organized.  I think it harkens back to all those years as a student, when the end of summer meant new notebooks, pencils, back packs, lunch boxes and all of the other paraphernalia that was supposed to keep me and my school work organized.

Today’s students are busy making sure their I-phones are charged for first-day selfies and ensuring that they have the latest software versions and enough Cloud storage on their laptops or tablets, along with their teachers’ email addresses.

Times have certainly changed.

But, fall is still a great time to get organized -- and, if your company has enough paper in your file cabinet drawers to start an autumn bon-fire, then maybe it’s time to consider ‘moving up a grade’ this fall with back office automation.   Here’s our 5-Day plan:

How to Automate Your Business Processes

In an earlier post, we talked about why small to mid-size businesses need to automate in order to stay competitive.  Now, we’re going to talk about how you can make the change.  Here are seven recommendations to get you started:

  1. Start where you’ll get the fastest results

The reasons for this are simple:

  • Customers and clients expect easy access and fast response
  • Competition is fierce
  • Information volume is enormous
  • Resources are limited

If you’re trying to perform your job with a computer, a printer and manual data entry, your success is limited.  But, there are simple, low-cost changes that your organization can make that will pay off big!  Here are a few:

  • Eliminate data entry -- replace paper-based forms with E-Forms
  • Reduce manual hand-offs --- create an electronic workflow
  • Streamline correspondence and processing – move to the Cloud
